Maryland's Youth Summer Employment Program

County Executive Jack B. Johnson and the Prince George’s County Council are pleased to announce that funds are being made available to hire youth between the ages of 15- 21 during the summer of 2010. County officials are committed to providing our youth with a viable work experience; the value of work ethics; and reduce opportunities for crime related activities.

However, because of the financial limitations of county government we must adhere to earlier requirements regarding the administration of the program. Students are not eligible if they have been paid with county funds for two years. They must be county residents and proof of residency will be enforced if a job offer is made. Youth are encouraged to apply on line at http://www.Princegeorgescountymd.gov/Government/ExecutiveBranch/summeryouth.asp .

However, copies of the application can be picked up at 9400 Peppercorn Place, Room 110; Largo, Maryland 20774 or call the office on (301) 883-5993. The application deadline is April 30, 2010.
